ORESTEIA and BragaCult project*

BragaCult is a project to the formation of new publics, directed to cultural revitalization of historical and urban areas of the city, from new and dynamic proposals that, in a sustainable manner, assure the active participation of people in search of better publics and more qualified citizenship.


This project includes the implementation of a variety of activities / workshops for various population segments. For five months, with the ultimate goal to participate in the creation of Oresteia, more than 70 people participated in Workshop on Construction of Masks, Dramatic Reading Community (through a cycle of Drama Public Readings around the mythological characters of the Classical Greek Culture), Workshop on Reading and Interpretation, Workshop on Stage Readings I and II, Workshop on Costumes, Workshop on Set Design. In this context of training, participants / actors in the various Choruses of the trilogy, the masks used in the show, props and other elements of the costumes are the actual result of the work performed by a large group of trainers as Antonio Jorge, Rui Madeira, Ana Bustorff, Samuel Hof, Jaime Monsanto, Sílvia Alves, Nuno Campos Monteiro, André Laires, and others.
